When is a dog not a dog? When it’s a rock of course! This unique piece of natural architecture has been enthralling visitors and locals alike in Middleton Beach for many years.

Dog Rock is a huge granite formation situated just outside of Middleton Beach and is fantastic place for visitors to grab a unique holiday photo next to “the big dog”. Sporting a striking collar, this feat of nature really does resemble a huge bloodhound sniffing the salty sea air.

Adults and kids alike love to take a snap or two near the Dog Rock, after all, how often can you get that close to a dog of this size!
