EXPLORE ALBANY & MIDDLETON BEACH

Torndirrup National Park (on the edge of town) is an area that includes The Gap & Natural Bridge, Blowholes, Bald Head Walk, the Whaling Station & Frenchman’s Bay. The entire area is truly one of natures most spectacular creations.

It’s fair to say you will need more than one day to explore this expansive area and really have time to soak in what is not only natural beauty but also a glimpse into the whaling history of the area.

You can visit the Explore Parks website for more extensive details on the activities in the area, general information on where you can visit, what to bring, etc.

There are so many things to explore in Torndirrup National Park including walking trails, popular sightseeing spots, beach fishing and surfing.  If you are an avid photographer then you are about to see some of the most beautiful places you could ever hope to take photos of.

During the winter months there is also the possibility of seeing migrating whales from the cliffs and a visit to the old Whaling Station is a must.

As always when exploring outdoors, please ensure someone knows where you are headed and your estimated time of return. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, take sunscreen and plenty of water and snacks.

Take your time and explore what can only be described as one of Australia’s truly beautiful areas.
